I believe my gift is serving and helping others. I feel better when I can do something to help someone else.  Jesus said in Matthew 45:25 “Whatever you do for the least of these you do for me.”  The Stephen Ministry training changed the way I interact with people on a daily basis. With all the pain and grief we see and experience as humans, it’s now hard for me to not also see the ways in which God loves us so deeply and cares about our personal healing. Stephen Ministry is a way to wrap God’s arms around someone.”

Becoming a Stephen Minister is an extension of the personal journey of caring for others that God has set me on. Being equipped and available to serve is rewarding and humbling. Every day I expect to become a better version of myself as I effectively support others to embrace and or find a strength within themselves that comes from their Higher Power.

Stephen Ministry is teaching members to provide pastoral care to the parishioners of the congregation who are hurting and to walk alongside them through the hurting times. I have been providing care for people and walking alongside them through difficult times for over 35 years as a member of the social work field.  There are many hurting people in the world. I want to learn the structured and supportive methods of providing care to God’s people. Stephens Ministry Training has provided me with a new outlook on what I need to know to care for God’s people.

I love to help people when they are going through difficult time, to be there to lend an ear or give some supportive words that may comfort them or just be there as needed

I want to be a Stephen Ministry to offer a caring

relationship to someone who is seeking relief from the hardship life throws.  I trust that God will cure while I care.

I am interested in this ministry because God has commanded me to love my neighbors as myself.  Plus, the more I get to know God then the more I want to serve Him and His people in a capacity that brings life changes.

Stephen Ministry fills that gap by ministering to those who need to share their burdens: whether it is a divorce, grief, terminal illness, loss of job, hospitalization, loneliness, being a caregiver to a loved one or any other stresses and challenges.

I am interested in serving God through assisting

anyone in need through any manner they need.  Everyone goes through difficult times. When you have someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing. God does not intend for you to struggle alone.

I joined Stephen Ministry to learn how to effectively love God’s people while ministering to them.  I joined to help, assistant in God’s healing process and to intimately see God work in His peoples’ lives. I joined Stephen’s Ministry to have the tools to be a better me in ministry.
